Ronnie Littlejohn教授简介:
Dr. Ronnie Littlejohn is Chair of Philosophy and Director of Asian Studies at Belmont University. He is Chair of the Board of Directors of ASIANetwork, a consortium of over 170 North American colleges with the mission to strengthen the role of Asian Studies within the framework of liberal arts education. At Belmont University, he has received the Meritorious Faculty Performance Award in the College of Arts and Sciences every year since its beginning in 2001. In 2006, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the International East-West Center Alumni Association of the East-West Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, and in 2003, he received the Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Technology at the 14th International Conference on Teaching and Learning. He is a Tennessee Director of the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia summer institutes for pre-collegiate teachers. He is author of four books, including introductions to Confucianism and Daoism, and editor of three others, including one on the Liezi, as well as over 50 articles. November 2009, he gave the Keynote Address, “How Daoism Can Be for the World” (道教适用于整个世界) at the International Forum on Laozi and Daoist Culture sponsored by the Research Association of Laozi and Daoist Culture, Ministry of Education, Beijing, PRC, and the Keynote Address: “Convening Academies of Daoist Scholars and Practitioners: China’s History from Jixia to Luyi,” at the Dedication of the Laozi and Daoist Culture Center, sponsored by the People’s Government of Luyi County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province.
Marcia A. McDonald教授简介:
Dr. Marcia A. McDonald is a professor of English at Belmont University. She received her Ph.D. in English from Vanderbilt University and has been a lecturer at universities in France and China. She has published on Shakespeare, on the humanities curriculum, and on disciplinary issues. Her teaching areas include composition, Shakespeare, and interdisciplinary humanities, and research areas include Shakespeare and cultural studies, higher education, and eastern – western interactions in Asia. |
